DIEGO "MOOSE" ALBERTO

Anything for a Friend is honored to join with Utah Independent Mortgage Corp. to announce Diego Alberto as the 42nd recipient!  Let’s help a local Roy High Graduate with his fight against Cancer!
Diego Alberto attended Roy high school and was a very athletic and family oriented young man. In
December 2020, he was working for USPS while finishing his senior year & playing lacrosse. He started
getting very dizzy and tired a lot and his skin began to turn yellow. This worried his family and his dad
decided to take him in to the clinic to get checked out. He was told his blood levels were so low that the
staff was surprised he had not fainted yet. That initial visit ended up being the first of many hospital
visits & tests he would have to endure. Diego has had over 30 procedures, all the while dealing with
deteriorating health.

After months of seeing different doctors up and down the Wasatch front with no answers, he was finally
transferred to Huntsman Cancer Institute where they are struggling to stabilize him currently. They have
diagnosed him with LMG Warm Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia with HLH and now Lymphoma Cancer.
The doctors are treating him with a 6-treatment process. Even though he has a diagnosis, he is still
enduring many struggles and infections.

As you can expect, this has taken its toll on his family as well. His family loves him dearly and would do
anything for him no matter the cost. The medical bills are adding up and becoming overwhelming for
the family and they have already drained their savings. His parents, Griseth & German Alberto, are very
hard-working citizens in our community. Working for the United States postal service and for Grant
Trucking before all of this started, his dad has not been able to work since his son became ill because
they cannot leave Diego alone. They are trying to do all they can do to care for Diego and their other 2
boys. His treatment plan is a must and a huge priority for his family. We may not be able to change the
situation they are in, but we can help take the stress off the family by trying to help them with their
medical bills.

On May 23rd Diego was ready to go on hospice care, as he could not endure much more. That night he
had a dream that God told him to keep fighting, which gave him a little more hope. Then, the Doctors
came in the next day with one more idea to try so Diego agreed to give it one more go. Diego is a fighter
and wants to live a full life. Please help us fight for him and show him just how much support and love
he has by his side! Lets help give his family the strength they need to also keep fighting! Lets help Diego
keep fighting and enduring this trial he is facing so he has the hope and strength he needs to keep fighting for himself!!
