Zach was killed in a horrible shooting accident in Monte Cristo on Sunday the 23rd. His family is in need of all of our help in making it through this tragedy. Zach loved superheros and was in very deed a superhero himself! Please put your love, support, and compassion into action and donate to help his family with the expenses surrounding this event.
This is what his family would like you to know about Zach:
Zackary Taylor Kempke
August 26, 2004 ~ September 23, 2018
Heaven received a new superhero on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He was born to an incredible family on August 26, 2004 with loving parents, Mark and Holly (Elmer) Kempke, a brother, Gunner, and a sister Alyssa.
Zack was a kind and loving teenager who always made sure he hugged and kissed his family before he went to bed each day. He always wanted to be like his older brother and wanted to go on dates with his sister to watch out for her. He loved them so much.
Zack had many challenges starting with diabetes at age 3 years. It was a constant struggle to keep his blood sugars balanced. Later he developed two more autoimmune conditions, Hashimoto’s disease and celiac. He never complained about ‘why me?’ and accepted these as part of his life.
Zack had many friends because he was a good friend to them. He cared about other people’s feelings not wanting to hurt anyone. He was a good example to everyone to love one another.
He loved playing drums, four-wheeling and soccer; was an avid gamer; loved comic books, music, Star Wars and of course, superheroes. His latest favorite being Batman and Nightwing. He always wanted to make people laugh and had the best Halloween costumes ever.
He loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was just ordained a teacher in the Aaronic priesthood and attended seminary. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was excited to learn all he could to prepare for a mission. He loved his Church leaders and followed their examples, especially the prophet.
Family meant everything to Zack. He loved family dinners at night where he could spend time laughing and loving his family. He loved his large extended Ogden family of grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins and enjoyed spending time with them Sunday nights and going camping. He loved to go to Las Vegas to visit his other grandpa and grandma. He believed families can be together forever in Heavenly Father’s plan.
